Science of Pear Cultivation

 

 

Founded by Jožef in 1967, the family business has been continued by his daughter Metka, who followed the heritage and enriched the fruit crops production methods with modern sustainable practice.  Metka holds a Ph.D in Agricultural Sciences and dedicates a great deal of her academic career to research related to pear cultivation and educational work. Her doctoral dissertation is titled The influence of water regime, nutrition, leaf area and growing season on sugars and organic acids content in pear (Pyrus communis L.) cv. ‘Williams Bon Chretien.
